With your help, the Sacramento Zoological Society and the City of Elk Grove will design a New Zoo with an entirely new level of experience that will forever redefine zoological parks. This Zoo will feature countless moments of pure imaginative discovery, wonder, enchantment, and truly meaningful encounters with Earth’s incredible wildlife.
Delivering new, unexpected and deeply impactful animal encounters and activities, will make every visit to the New Zoo unforgettable. The New Zoo will offer a myriad of opportunities for guests to engage with animals, connect with nature, and enjoy time with family and friends while in a beautiful setting amidst amazing wildlife.
At the New Zoo, we will demonstrate our commitment to community by extending our reach outwards and supporting local and regional events with our presence and participation. We will be an enthusiastic partner and seek to build relationships by sharing the beauty and wonder of the natural world and inviting the community to join in critical conservation efforts.
The New Zoo will exemplify best practices by employing the highest standards in animal care practices and the creation of modern animal habitats. We will participate in strategic and sustainable species population programs, integrating our daily work with conservation action locally and globally.
